Roulette: A Game Worthy of Respect

Everybody likes to watch the players play at the roulette table as the wheel spins and the ball flies fast around the spinning wheel waiting for that number to hit. I still feel the excitement I feel every time I step up to the roulette table when I think of it like that.

The objective is to correctly guess and place wagers on which number on the wheel the ball will stop on. You place bets on the roulette table and if you are lucky enough can collect payoffs of different size depending on what bets were placed. The odds are range from 35 to 1 all the way to even money bets.

Playing The Game

The roulette table seats anywhere from one to seven players. Next to the wheel is the betting area or the layout. Players make bets, or place wagers on the field, when the croupier says No More Bets all betting stops and the ball continues to roll on the inside track until it falls and lands in one number.

Roulette is up to the spinning ball and guessing correctly the path it will take to landing on your number or numbers.

Betting

When playing roulette, you purchase separate roulette chips to avoid confusion between other players and their chips. Each player receives a specific color to them, which makes it ultimately easier for the croupier to handle the money. Also to discourage cheating by players in the casino, all players are to keep their hands away from the table until all winning bets have been paid off.

There are many betting options, and these are indicated by the different areas in which you can place chips on the table. These are usually grouped into two major categories:

Inside bet: bets made directly on the inside of the layout, mostly concerning just the numbers.

Outside bets: these bets are made outside the inside layout, different casinos have different betting options for their outside layout. Just place the bets you want to place and wait for that ball to come to a stop.
