Bullshit Bingo: Funny Version of Bingo
Bullshit bingo, also known as buzzword bingo is a funny variation of the famous bingo game. Bullshit bingo is mainly played at meetings and seminars for entertainment purposes. If you are interested to spice up your boring meetings, here you can learn how to play bullshit bingo and create your own bullshit bingo card.
Bullshit bingo rules are based on the traditional game rules. In this game, each of the participants in a meeting gets a card that contains a 5 X 5 grid. Instead of the numbers you can find in a traditional bingo card, here you can find the most common bullshit or buzzwords often heard in a meeting. Every time the speaker mentions one of the buzzwords that appear on your bullshit bingo cards, you mark it, until someone creates a pattern of buzzwords and wins. Yelling bingo is optional.
One of the legendary bullshit bingo games occurred in 1996, when Al Gore, then the Vice President of the United States spoke at MIT graduation. The graduation class of 1996 was dealing bullshit bingo cards to the audience before Gores speech.
Preparing a bullshit bingo card is easy. All you have to do is draw a 5 X 5 grid on a paper sheet. On each of the block write words or phrases commonly used in meetings, for example best practice, bottom line, win-win, knowledge base, at the end of the day, etc. Photocopy your bullshit bingo card and give it to all the participants in the meeting. A fascinating meeting is guaranteed.
